My pre-paid train tickets dont let me travel quite far enough to my destination would the conductor let me stay on the train to the next stop if I paid, it's only ? Not sure if they take cash payments on trains as Im not a frequent train traveller. Thanks everyone.

Im visiting friends and they forgot to tell me its further on than I booked the tickets for...doh...thanks Craft so it shouldnt be a problem to stay on for the next station.
You need to get your additional ticket before you arrive at the station you are booked to (or at your starting station)

In some areas of the country you could be in trouble being on a train without a ticket - in others they are fairly relaxed about it
I would not chance it. The conductor can charge you an admin fee on top (£10?) just for the one stop ticket and if you are really unlucky can report youfor avoidance and all it entails. Is it not possible to buy a combined ticket covering the whole journey?
