As I have quoted before in these situations - when you start to care for anyone or anything, there is pain at the end of it somewhere.
Part of the pact we make with our pets is doing or best for them, and sadly, that can mean letting them go becaause it is best for them, even if not for us. That last act of love is the hardest, but the most loving of all.
To love a pet and know they have to leave you, and you are going to make that happen - is the hardest aspect of having any animal in your life.
But you have to know - the pain of losing Clydee will ease, and eventually become woven into your life.
But the love you had for each other will never diminish, and that will help to ease that pain into the distance, while staying present and alive with you for ever.
The love will grow, the pain will lessen - it takes time, but it happens - always.
