Buying Out Of Season?

Went shopping today for 3 items - swimming costume for child, slippers and turkey/roast baster.

Nooooo, surely not?
I've recently bought slippers, nice warm ones. And turkey basters...well, meat basters..are available all year round in kitchen shops. You can certainly buy adult swimming costumes all year round, might not have the same choice as during summer months, not had reason to try and buy a child's one though.
Maybe you're looking in the wrong shops?

Yes Mamya - pressed submit too quickly. We have a brand new olympic standard swimming pool in Dundee plus a few smaller ones. I also wear slippers all year round at home and regularly cook turkey/roast (certainly not just at Christmas). Made the mistake of going to city centre to shop but ended up in my local Asda. Got swimming costume and slippers but no turkey baster!

Buy online, you can get all those items year round on various websites.

That's daft - but then I do all my shopping on-line these days, if I want anything my first stop is always eBay.

Maggie you should get a turkey baster in Sainsburys for about £4.00 -

Lakeland - £9.00

I think you would get a turkey baster in a Lakeland shop if you have one near you. also from one of the larger Tesco stores. Good luck!
