What's the average cost of a taxi please?

I'm open to other methods of transport.

If hiring a car, how easy is it to drive there?

TIA

I can't help you about the taxi but when I went, though some years now, we went for a day trip while staying in Milan and got a train there, took us about 50 minutes and was a really nice trip - double decker train even!

I can't remember the cost and it would be out of date now, although it was very cheap. Not sure as to whether the airport is closer, we flew into Bergamo and it took about 40 minutes I think, to get to Milan by bus transfer, which dropped us off at the main station.

I always remember walking down from the station and the first glimpse of the lake, an absolutely beautiful place!
It's pretty easy to drive there, NoM, A8 and A9 - about eighty minutes and sixty miles. I went to a meeting and 'farewell' night before taking Libya on the next day, the only flight in on "Always Late in Take-off and Late in Arrival."
ps - it's a rather nice drive up the west bank of the lake.
taxi malpensa to como about EUR80.00.

it's 92km and easily driveable in 1hr25mn.
This link is a few years old but it still seems to have all of the key information:

This site seems to be up to date though, and suggests €95 for a taxi:

This minibus service resumes in March next year, with fares starting at €22:
