On the way back from London yesterday, a woman who was sat across from me ordered a coffee from the trolley with 6 sugars and 5 sachets of milk. She put the lot in.
Anyone beat this?
With McDonald's coffee (which is rather bitter to my taste) I usually put in 7 or 8 sachets of sugar. (I never put fewer than 5 in any type of coffee). However I usually only need 3 or 4 cartons of milk in most coffees.
Now that's impressive, Gness, although I confess to once having got through a bottle of gin between London and Newcastle, but that's a 3½ hour journey.
As a diabetic, I would have been in a coma before I reached my destination.
With all that sugar in it, I am surprised that she could taste the coffee !
As a young articled clerk, having had too much beer after work, I went in the buffet on platform 12 at Manchester Victoria, now gone.
I got a large black coffee and thought lots of sugar would help. Someone had filled the sugar dispenser with salt, and I swallowed a big mouthful before I realised. I missed my train, but felt a bit better after parting with my stomach contents.
