Someone I know has a young persons railcard and it is nearly out of date. It is a 16-25 card and he wants to renew it in a way that he can keep this for as long as possible as it runs out the month before his 25th birthday.

Is it possible to renew for one more year and then get a 3 year card just before turning 26?

TIA

I pretty sure that you can't use a 16-25 card after your 26th birthday!

thanks gingejbee.......just passed on the info.

Best he can do is renew it for 1 year the day before his 25th birthday so it runs until the day before his 26th birthday. You can't use a young persons rail card from your 26th birthday.
EDDIE - look at the link and you will see that you are incorrect....
