Rather than depend on trip advisor would it be within the site rules to ask on here if anyone can recommend a good hotel in pathos cyprus at a reasonable price,thanks in advance.

can't help you, but this seems like the perfect place to ask.

You don't have to depend on Trip Advisor but it pays to ignore the 10% best and worst reviews, which might be biased/paid for.

I think it is difficult to advise anyone of a particular hotel without knowing what your exact requirements are. Paphos is a fairly big place with harbour, nightlife, beachfront and inland hotels. Maybe a better idea would be for you to check the travel sites and make a short list of your choices and then ask for help here regarding those ones.

Could not fault the Alexander The Great when we stayed there last year. Not the cheapest but then again not the dearest.

Like jno says...tripadvisor is good but disregard the overly complementary and disregard the overly critical.
