Well I did it 10 days in gran canaria by myself , absolutely loved it , weather was great food good and my own company was on point (joke ) would deffo do it again

Let me answer your questions No unfortunatly I didn't bump into idris BUT I did get two tweets off him which made my day , who is idris !!!! Check out the pic link posted it made my heart beat faster I tell ya lol he's Deffo not a flower I have been Egypt but not by myself wouldn't go again if someone paid for me hated it . Yes was nervous bout coming on my own there was no need. Loved every minute , that said I've been coming to this hotel in gran canaria every march and sometimes other times of year since 2009 so know the place like back of my hand not sure . I would go elsewhere alone x

I did a 3 week cycle tour unaccompanied in Northern France. I got to meet and talk to lots of people that I would never have spoken to if I had had someone with me. It was definitely one of the best holidays that I have had.

Hi Tezmand...I think I will be doing the exact same in a few years when my kids have flown the nest. We have had fab holidays without a partner for me (my choice) and I feel I could do this alone now. It's daunting but ultimately I would love it too I'm sure. Love Gran Canaria :)

I`ve done a few holidays on my own but they`ve all been horse trail riding holidays where everyone pretty much turns up alone anyway. I`m not sure if I could do a beach holiday alone though.

When I retired I quite often went back to Malta each year without my wife. My interest in the history is not the same as hers with regards this Isle. Last time I went for three weeks and caught 'Malta Dog' in the 2nd week. Not good on your own and confined to your hotel room. :-(
