This seems a bit rich from EJ, the last time we flew with them we were standing around at the gate well after the supposed departure time. Surely if you get to the gate during boarding it shouldn't be a problem for them.

If you're standing around at the gate after the scheduled departure time it means that a problem is causing the delay. Every airline wants its flights to be on time and that's probably why Easyjet plans to reject stragglers and hence avoid arguments.

If you want lowest price flights then it has to be accepted and expected that the airlines will do what they can to minimise weight and consequently fuel load.

With online check in and hand baggage only it is a last minute call how much fuel needs loading.

Why is this unreasonable, surely you don't expect to get on a plane with less than 30 minutes to go? Rushing compromises security for starters.

I use EasyJet whenever possible, and have to say I've always found them excellent in terms of service, no catches, and (of course) good value for money.

30 minutes is quite generous. Most airlines have a broader deadline than that.

Ryanair also have a 30 minute deadline.

Has anyone flown recently? For the first time my toiletries weren't checked and I set the alarm off so they swabbed my hands and feet. My OH also set the alarm off and he was just patted down....
