Where to go on holiday?

Where can myself and my mate go on holiday next year? We are 22 and want a variety of things to do including beer, sport, sun and sight seeing. We have about �400 each and have thought about, Gran Canaria, Zante and Tenerife, amongst others but can`t make up our minds. If we leave it too late again it will be another year without a holiday. What would you recommend and any cheap websites please? Thanks in advance, Andy

I went to gran canaria about 15 years ago it was great, a real party atmosphere with an outdoor rink and lots of pubs, not a place to relax but it may have changed since I went.

I used to be an Escapades Rep in Ibiza in the year 2000.  A lot of people think Ibiza is full of drink and drugs only but its not.  In San Antonio town you get your bars if you want to have a party night or further round the bay there is the clubs or just a short taxi ride away there is the big big clubs but literally a 5 minute walk from the clubs in the bay is quite bars and restaurants.  Also there is various boat cruises which take you to different islands for the day see the best beeches, the famous people with their yachts.  If you go to Ibiza town also by bus or taxi there is the "gay" scene there with loads of street dancing going on nice restaurants, shops and great things to do.  It really is worth looking into.  There is absolutely loads to do in the different islands and they are so close together as well so you dont have to always stay in the same resort.  I wouldnt recommend you staying in San Antonio town unless you want it to be very very noisy I would recommend the bay side of San Antonio or a different resort but if you did want to stay in the town but out of it but still a 10 minute walk away there is a little apartment called The Orvay this is in the Escapades brochure or the Airtours brochure - very cheap to stay at lovely inside and fantastic food.

How about Barcelona ?.

It is hot and near the coast with great beaches, lots of wonderful buildings for sight seeing, you can go and see Barcelona play, and it is a young city so plenty of places to eat and drink.

Also, just up the road is Port Aventura, maybe the best theme park in Europe.

Malta has a good night life especially around St Julians area and plenty places to see during the day. Buses go all over the island and are dead cheap and regular. have been a few times and love it. try www.chevron.co.uk who are very reasonable.

We have just returned from Protaras in Cyprus.  It was great, lots of bars, entertainment, sun and lots of water sports on the beach, paragliding etc. etc.   You'll love it.
