Hello! This summer I want to go on a trip to Russia by train. What do I need to know if everything went well? Where is it better to buy train tickets?

Posts from new members which appear to be soliciting links often turn out to be the first of two-part spam. (i.e. another new member, who just happens to know of a 'helpful' link, posts an answer shortly afterwards). If this thread turns out to be spam I'll swiftly delete it.

However, assuming this to be a genuine question, the best place to start is undoubtedly here:

Considering the present political and diplomatic strains between this country and Russia, I would postpone that trip. I had actually thought of going to St Petersburg myself this summer, but decided against it, . . . just in case.
