I don't like the free seating, but it works Ok and the flights are short. Aeroplanes are modern (I believe easyjet have the most modern fleet), in flight snack/drinks aren't cheap but not excessive. In flight magazine is free and is good, always something worth reading in it.
But if you don't check in earlier than 30 minutes before departure then you miss the flight. No ifs/buts.
I have been flying with easyjet about 4 times a year for the last 8 years and never had a problem, I have visited places I could only dream about before the rise of the cheap flights, with easyjet being a market leader.
At the airport you will see the TV film crew waiting for someone to film amongst the thousands that get on their plane perfectly happy, they can wait days sometimes before they find a subject, and then in most cases it's there own fault, ie forgot passport, got the times wrong etc.
Make sure you have got all that right and go and enjoy .
Have flown with Easy Jet to Alicante from Stanstead four times in he last year, no complaints.
Book in early to get on earlier as seats are not allocated, more room by emergency exits.
Typical no frills airline but food and drink is available(at a price) only two hours to get there, take a book to read.
*Never* late, friendly staff - never had a single problem whatsoever. The only late flights I've had have been on other carriers.
I'd agree with the "check in early" advice. Although they don't allocate seats, they let people board in groups of 30 or so and if you check in early, you'll be in the first group and not the last. That just means that you can choose a seat next to a door (or window) and be first off when you land.

That website actually has photos of the seats in the planes, airport lounges, catering in flight - but the forums are the best thing. People will complain before they praise though, so take some of the comments in context to the passenger numbers.
