With a 'traffic light system' now on the cards for foreign travel, some countries are far more likely to be graded as 'green' than others.

You should also bear this in mind, because even with "Green" destinations there will still be the need to undergo tests:
"Travellers returning from green list regions will need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day two of their return, but there is no requirement to quarantine. Arrivals from amber countries will need to quarantine at home for ten days, in addition to tests, while arrivals from red countries must quarantine for ten days in government managed hotel quarantine."

From that, if you're hoping to go on holiday in Norway, you might well be able to do so. If it's somewhere warmer that you're thinking of, Portugal might be a decent bet and Spain could even be a possibility. You can almost certainly forget Sweden, France, Croatia and Cyprus for the near future though.

We have friends who live in Bergen, Norway and have spent many happy summer holidays with them. Warm enough to swim in fjords and mess about in boats. To be honest we have nearly been drowned walking through the town/ city centre as well. They don't have vending mchines selling umberellas for no reason!
Hi Bobbs, yes we have Menorca booked for very early July and all the trappings warned (cattery, hire car etc). The villa is a carryover from last July and the flight is with BA who I wouldn't be surprised goes anyway whatever the rules as they take cargo. To be honest I have no idea if we will be able to go, the media claims different things on different days and am expecting it to be last minute when we find out. We do have a long-haul booked for next February (also a carry-over) which I am more positive about.
