train crash
does anyone know where i can find information on a train crash that occured in 1946/47 on the border between Germany and Belgium. two troop trains i think, one had a lot of poles on board. any help appreciated.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.a starting point might be the newspaper library at Colindale, north London. It is almost opposite Colindale underground. There is no parking, but you can take your chance in side streets. You will need identification (gas bills etc) for a readers ticket. If you can read the local languages it will help, but the UK newspapers probably mentioned it. Some papers are on microfilm and some on paper. The staff are helpful if you ask them.
