I don't know if it is appropriate, but it is a major E/W route and people may get caught up in it and should be aware of what happened a couple of hours ago.

If anyone is going to have to travel on the A64 in Yorkshire tomorrow, or for the forseeable future, please be aware that a sink-hole has opened this evening at the Rillington crossroads (the pub side).

It is huge and still growing and please find ways around it. A nightmare.

We have our first sinkhole, appeared a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if it is actually a water main too!

Took over a week to fix one nearby. On the main road.

It has taken several long drawn out attempts to fix my local sink hole. Hopefully it is now sorted a year after it first appeared. Caused a lot of disruption

Today, N. Yorkshire gave 2 days for it to be fixed. Every single resource they have must be being directed there if they are to do it. I'll let you know.
