So much going on at the same time.

Judge me/ humour me/hate me/ tolerate me/ whatever!!.. I dont really care anymore.

Im in so much pain and pzzd at the same time.

Drank almost a litre of vodka this morning (thats more than usual, but trying to deal with pain that meds wont touch)

Saying that its trapped wind isnt really helping.

Dont know who to ring or where to go?

No matter what, its always put down to my alcohol problem.

If my head fell off it would be put down to drink....

Why not test it by laying off the drink?   If the pain goes away your doctors could be right.

On the bright side at least you have money for vodka.

naomi, I dont expect you to understand the situatation of an addict because you are not me.  But if I just stopped drinking now, I could fit and die.

But you've stopped drinking several times.  What's different about now?

In 2024 you stopped drinking twice. The drs can't diagnose what your illness is whilst you are plastered!

I do understand what it is to be an addict and you have been offered and have received help and are therefore luckier than some.

You need to decide what you want and to stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Doug, your humor!

Am on the last of my savings from when I was working. Going to be stuffed pretty soon. Might have to be a suicide job then.

Make a witty post about that when it happens,,,,

Same s,   different day.....

"Your an addict, couldnt give a monkeys about any pain, its all down to you using"

And thats what addicts get when admitted to A*E.

iF I Wasnt on the record as been an alcoholic, I would have bee treateted with a bit more understanding.

mate you and we are going round in circles. You've got to get off the sherbet, you did it at least twice before.

You know a remarkable amount about the inner workings of the NHS and the minds of medical staff.

Have you thought of writing a book? Might take your mind off things.

And I will do it again. Just that these things dont happen overnight. Got an appointment with local services on  the 20th and then its going to be at least a 4 month wait. but im bloody well trying.

Oh well, a cuddle then since truth is banned.

I'll give you a cuddle Doug (( cuddles))

You know you will fight your demons forever without the right help  those things from your past that haunt you and twist you.  The alcohol isn't the problem, the monsters inside that you feel you can't control any other way are.  From all you have put on here and FB  all I can say is calmly as you can, tell your local services the truth about why you are as you are, and ask for psychiatric help alongside the getting dry thing.   Not a twelve week cbt course which I am sure you have done in the last but proper in depth help from a team specialising in abuse survivors.

As for the pain... Alcohol takes you out of the pain, but because of the numbing effects does make diagnosis of other things problematic.  Try to cut back if you can, the clearer headed you are the better able to explain what is happening.  You talk a lot about self harm, You might need to be an in patient for mental health for a bit it might've you through the system a bit quicker too.

nailedit, you type remarkably well for one 'plastered'

Is the alcohol affecting your liver?

While I have every sympathy for the predicament you find yourself in (no I haven't been there) I feel that you have to take responsibility for your own actions.  How many times have you been helped?  You might have to wait 4 months for treatment (again) - good old NHS.  Thousands wait a lot longer and their illnesses are not self inflicted.  Time to face your demons square on or we will be hearing the same old in 2028.

I knew a chap locally who was alky on vodka. His wife wouldn't let him in the house so he stayed in an old campervan on the driveway. He went down the street to Lidl for a new bottle wearing just his pyjama bottoms - they wouldn't serve him. Eventually he went into hospital but quickly died of liver failure. Sad case.
