Hi mrsann!

I'm guessing that your first week is a nile cruise - I did one last year (not on same boat, but I should think they are all pretty similar!). Roughly speaking there were about 100(ish) people on our boat. Meals were of a buffet style with plenty of choice - foods included meat and fish, pasta, vegetables, soups and salad. And the most amazing puddings and sweets!

Our boat offered optional excursions for people to do during the first week - a hot air balloon trip was one of them. I didn't go to Hurghada for the 2nd week, but there were a number of people from my boat who did. We all met up at the end of the 2nd week to fly home and they all sounded as if they had an amazing time there - beautiful beaches and snorkelling conditions. They also had the opportunity to go and visit the pyramids. It was quite a long transfer journey from and back to Luxor, but that was the only niggle I heard from them.

Have an amazing time! :o)

I can't help much but I did find a couple of web references which might interest you:

According to this glowing report, all meals are buffet style:

This pages is in Dutch but it's got several pictures of the ship and most of the text is fairly easy to work out:

Sorry that I can't help further,
