Nothing to choose between them AFAIK.

A Nationwide credit card has the lowest charges (ie nil) for overseas transactions. The certainly do a Visa - don't know if they do MC as well.

If your only going to use it for your hols the good us of a excepts both just get one with interest free credit and pay it all off when you get back...

I would say visa is more widely used,but as already mentioned by dzug if you use a nationwide card there isn't a charge
