Maybe ask the people who hired you the boat?

This page seems to indicate it is a very energetic week, 55 hours cruising and 118 locks.

The Tardebigge flight alone is 36 locks.

I guess it depends if you want to go up the 36 locks or down them.

Hi, I've never actually done the Stourport Ring (I've done the Avon ring twice, Four Counties Ring, Leeds Liverpool Canal etc etc) but I would suggest that you do it anti-clockwise so that whilst you are on the River Severn you are going with the flow of the river. The River Severn is a large river (I've done part of it on the Avon Ring, from Tewkesbury to Worcester) and it will be much easier (and quicker) going downstream than upstream.
