Just like anywhere it has its good and bad parts.

It really depends in what context you mean a dump ? I.e. living, visiting for a family holiday, visiting for a stag or hen weekend etc etc.

the whole place smells of chips and fried food, this might be ambrosia to some but not all.

i lived there a few years ago and had to move as there was a sweet factory across the road and in the morning the smell was awful i was pregnant at the time and it made me sick

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....I've been there twice both times on a "lads night out" and have to say it was great, but... could never live there as its to loud and in your face, in my opinion anyway.

Live 10minutes out of Blackpool, and was born there. If you want a typical party resort then it is the best in this country- that makes it the best in the world imho, and there's a lot of money being spent on it at the mo.

Typical English seaside resort, with good shops, bars, an improving airport, lots of places to stay, the illuminations! in late summer, and the Pleasure Beach.

Wouldn;t want to live any closer though.

Best to go out of season.

blackpool is a wonderful place full of fun the night life is great do you think its a dump?
