well there are lots of trips you can go on, up the mountains,down to coral bay,out to see aphrodites rock,all of where you can take a picnic,if you go on trips that are organised,some prefer to give you a lunch included,your rep will tell you all about the days out,ok hope that helps

Mt Troodos is a fair way but still well in range for a day trip by car. Highest point on the island. In winter you can ski there.

If you have your own transport, the Akamas wilderness. The car park at the end of the Avgas Gorge is reachable in an ordinary car (though the road is rough and unsurfaced and you need to take it steadily) but to get much further towards Lara Bay you really need 4wd. The Gorge itself used to be a great place to drive up in a 4wd, but it's now only open to organised "safari" trips, which are easy to book in Pafos of that's your thing. Personally I'd rather make my own way to places.

As well as loads of quiet picnic spots the Akamas beaches is long, lovely and unspoilt.
