What currency is Turkey?

Hi i am going to Turkey this week and not sure if their currency is euro or lira??? cheers x

Their currency is the Turkish lira.
It wouldn't/couldn't be the euro as Turkey is not a member of the EU.

note that they chopped several zeroes off the end of the exchange rate a few years ago. The rate is now �1 = 2.92 lira (say 3, roughly)
