australia visa...again

Am considering a move to oz on a working holiday visa and am aware that you're supposed to have around �3,000 in your account to ensure you have enough funds to live for your first few months and enough for a ticket home if need be. However, i found out recently that if you have family out there (which i do who are all australian citizens) you can get them to sponsor you, in other words if anything goes wrong then it's their responsibility (so to speak). Does anybody know if this is true or where i may get some more information about it?
