I LOVE the Gower! Are you only going for the weekend or longer? There's so many nice beaches, Caswell is my favourite but it's really popular so if you're only there for the weekend it's probably not worth going. Mr Spudqueens favourite is Three Cliffs Bay which is more remote but SO spectacular. You can park on the road near Pennard Golf Club and walk down to Pobbles beach which is next to Three Cliffs. Rhossili beach is a fantastic stretch of beach which goes on for miles. There is a shipwreck on the beach, which was shipwrecked in the 1800's. Off Rhossili is the spectacular Worms Head which you can walk out to at low tide on a causeway, but you do need to check the tides or you will be stranded for hours. One thing I love to do when I'm on the Gower is go to the Oxwich Bay Hotel for a meal, it is right on the beach (the opposite end of the bay from Three Cliffs). I also love Mewslade beach, but it is cut off at high tide so again you need to check this, and Horton which is just round from Port Eynon but quieter. If you go into Mumbles have an ice-cream from Joes which is next to NatWest Bank, opposite Somerfields.

Have a brilliant time - wish I was going with you!
