Film from the late 70s/early 80s?

I have vague memories of an old toy doll with a glass crystal-like head being found in the wall of a water well. It was a ghost like story and I think it was made by Walt Disney. It may have been part of a Walt Disney series of short films on BBC1. I've searched through their history of films but nothing rings a bell.

I seem to remember a Walt Disney ghost story flick starring Bette Davis and it was called Watcher In The Woods. I seem to remember a spooky well. Was that it?

No, it wasn't that, great film though - I have that one on DVD. Scared the life out of me as a kid :)
