Morocco holiday
3 Answers
The Mrs and I are off to Marrakech in early October - our first trip to Morocco - planning to stay in a Riad in the medina. So we would really appreciate any advice that anyone can give us on what to see and do, day trips, safety, where to eat, etc. Many thanks!

Re: the reply above. Casablanca is a concrete hell-hole, there is absolutely no point going there. Rabat is vaguely nicer.
In Marrakesh keep in mind that almost anything you photograph, someone will want money, and physically acost you for it.
I've travelled all over the world, over decades, from hitchhiking around Nicaragua to being 'lodged' in the New York Palace hotel in Manhattan. Morrocco is the biggest nightmare of a place I have been to, far eclipsing India (and others) for the level of aggressive hassle.
I just hope you are not going during ramadan. That makes the locals EVEN crankier...
