Brazil ....?

I am thinking of going to Brazil next spring (March/April time) and was wondering if anyone could give me some info. Are there beautifull islands with white sandy beaches like you get in Thailand? Is there good snorkelling? Whens the best time to go.... etc yeah I know I should buy a lonely planet guide but havent got round to it yet!!

my sister inlaw and her hubby went there back in june,said it has lovely beaches,but the one thing she didnt like was the people begging but you get that mostly everywhere you go,oh and she got bit 100s of times,so make sure you take lots of sprays oh and she had the poos too but other than that she enjoyed it

hi i went round brazil couple of years ago there are lots of nice beaches but no it doesnt really have that island thing going on like in Thailand - I didnt have any problem with beggers for anything like that but the weather bit disappointing it was hot but it did rain a bit but then i suppose that is why it is so lush

You must get the bus or fly from rio to the border with argentina and see tthe foz de iguazo which are the most amazing waterfalls it is so worth it amazing
