how much does this cost for an adult, and can you go on one without the guided tour?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The cost is �16 for adult but can get a family ticket, you can get on and off on the route its a good way to see a city and most of the sights and could spend the day doing this the tour is the commentary which is continuous so when you get on it commences, they leave from outside Victoria station, make sure its a fine day ...

Personally, I don't recommend the open-top buses. You can get around London far more cheaply by buying a Travelcard for a day of unlimited travel on the buses and tubes. All of the attractions which the open-top buses pass are within the Underground Zones 1 & 2. A day ticket costs just �4.90 (or �6.20 if you want to travel before 0930, Monday to Friday):
