We've never had any problems - just a great time . Everyone we've dealt with or met have been very friendly, maybe a little reserved at times but always polite and helpful.
There is plenty to see and do in the city - such as Rynek Glowny (old Market Square), Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) , the Gallery of 19th Century Polish Art above the Sukiennice, 20th Centuary Polish Art at the National Museum, St. Mary's Church and its fantastic carved alter screen, Wawel Hill with the Castle and Cathedral, Kazimierz (Jewish Quarter) -plus great restaurants and nightlife, there is also the chance to travel outiside the city to thr nearby salt mines and to Auschwitz
Food and drink are very reasonably priced - the local beer, Zywiec mainly but also Okocim, is very good and, of course, Polish vodka is varied in flavour and fantastic.
If you're going early in the year ou may need to dress up warm, winter can be wet, cold and snowy. Lots of layers and comfy walking shoes or boots as it's as easy to walk around as it is to take public transport.
Other than that I can't think of anything in particular to advise or warn you about, other websites have reported overzealous and not very friendly officials/officers at the airport currently, especially when it comes to hand luggage, but that may well have changed by next year and, again, we've never had any problems.
Hope you enjoy Kralow, it's one of my favourite cities
