Bit of a weird question.
If you going away, say america. and you want to fly of a Jumbo (747) Is there a way you can make sure you go on one, or is it just pot luck like? I have been on a Virgin Atlantic 747 before, and I wouldnt mind going on another 747.

if you access the timetables of most airlines, they usually show the type of aircraft normally assigned to a particular flight. eg virgin atlantic flight vs002 new york to london is shown to be an airbus 340.
I agree with mushroom. The flights from Bristol to Newark (USA) are only continental airlines which operate the Boeing 757-200
And AA use 777s!
Virgin would be your best bet because they only operate two different types of aircraft. The Boeing 747-400 and the A340 ( and soon the A380) Its a 50/50 chance but the other Airlines usually operate a big mix of Planes.
Yeah. Virgin are the best bet. All their aircraft have 4 engines and are big buggers.
