i want to go to france for a few days over valentines but my passport expires in april. i know for some places your passport has to be valid for so long after your return date. will this be a problem for me. if so how long will it take for me to renew my passport? thankyou

If you have a British passport it just needs to be valid for a trip to France.

If you pay megabucks you can get a passport renewed the same day - normally it's 'about' 3 weeks, can be less, not often more. But you don't need to.

An EU passport is valid in all EU countries up to its expiry date.
