I'm due to travel up to Newcastle a week on Sunday. Sadly this is a work related visit but as i'm not working until Monday i'd like to spend some time on the Sunday doing something. However, not sure exactly what there is to do in Newcastle. Anyone got any suggestions for a Sunday afternoon/evening.

Metroccentre for shopping (you are a girly arnt you)...there is a cinema at the Gate...(Haymarket)...at top of Bigg Market.

Metrocentre is in Dunston...other side of river to Newcastle.....you will see the turn off on the right when you come near the river on the way along the A1....its a few hundred yards before you cross the river on the right.

Loads of restaurants. Stowell St for Chineese....Loads of Indian....Dene St has Kula Khan.....its an eat as much as you want Mongolian reastaurant..you pick the raw food and they then cook it for you ...its like a raw buffet

Thanks Chris this looks really good. I'm flying to Newcastle and staying at the Hilton in Gateshead (paid for by work). It's not really somewhere that i'd like to spend much time though! Looks like good food and then i'm gonna test some of the bars! But of course i'll be keeping a clear head for Monday!!!
