Perth (WA) to Kalgoorlie by train.....
6 Answers
Hi my folks who are off the Perth next month and want to travel by train from Perth to Kalgoorlie, he has looked at the Indian Pacific line, but wondered if there are any other rail services he could look into?
any helpful advice would be greatly apreciated, also where else would you go in WA? They are there for 3 week (they won'y travel around Aussie by the way as in other states) so any trips within WA you've done and really enjoyed he's like to hear about it. TIA

http://www.transwa.wa.gov.au/Default.aspx - my uncle in WA arranged it all last year - but we got some sort of package that included a couple of nights hotel in Kalgoorlie - that should be enough time for them to go down a gold mine, have a few beers in a 'skimpy' bar and visit a brothel in Hay Street [seriously!..... http://www.theredhouse.com.au/tour.html]
Boyfriend did the Walpole tree top walk - I wimped out -
If they did Margaret River last year they could always go north to Broome - wonderful place famous for its pearls - it has the only open air cinema in the world.
Hope this helps.
