Anybody got any recommendations for a holiday in Egypt. We are looking for hot, plenty to do in the day and decent nightlife complete with alcohol. Also if you suggst a resort, could you also suggest a good 4/5 star hotel with plenty of facilities. Many thanks

Hi.
Your best bit would be Sharm e Shriek ( excuse the spelling), area, thou nightlife youve gottotravel about 20k from there. Egypt isnt really the place for decent nightlife. Alcohol is always served at the hotel , Egypt is hot, but have a good look through plenty of brocheres.
Ive only done a day in Cairo, that was an experience!

Don't think Egypt is really the place to go if you want night life and alchohol we were there last spring and only entertainment was sporadic in hotel and alchohol was very and I mean very! expensive no real night clubs in the hotels and the so calles ones in the resort towns didn't look up to much even if you fancied being at a local taxi drivers mercy late at night(we didn't and we do travel to off the beaten track places!) Algarve sounds a much better idea
