I have a british passport, Im going to dubai for 8 days next month, do I need to apply for a visa or do I just have my passport stamped when I arrive?

Just a thought you do hold a British passport dont you, because Irish passport holders need a visa or they can send you back on the next plane [ unless who you are going tostay with have powerful local friends who can intervene].
Dont take any girlie/porn type mags with you, leave them on the plane and your pals out there would probably appreciate a copy of all the English newspapers of that day as they are expensive out there.

Yeah I do have a british passport and Im seeing a pal from pakistan who lives out there so no need to carry English newspapers with me!
