Money for Florida
How much money do you think I will need for a 3 week holiday to Florida?
We are staying in a villa but will be eating out every day. I have already got all the tickets that I need.
Thanks

We are a family of four, we stayed in a villa but ate out I think 12 days of the 14 that we were there! We came back with a little bit of money left over, but we did do an awful lot of eating out, a lot of spending in Target and Walmart and the shopping malls and paying for things like go-karting, mini-golf etc. Had a great time though - can't wait to go back again (this summer yee! haa!).
75$ for 4? Some mistake surely? I got back from Florida 2 days ago.
Fast food places like Denny's serve a wide range of dishes - ie 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns + pancakes & syrup for approx 6 - 7$. Main courses in normal restaurants are from 15$ - 26$ depending on standard of restaurant. Don't forget that everything has tax added on top of prices in shops & restaurants - also 20% service charge usually for meals. I would estimate that most of the food I had was 60% of UK price.

dont forget money for shopping with the pound worth 2 dollars, its shoppers paradise for clothes, trainers, wheelies etc, especially at the outlets even the supermarkets have tee shirt bargains and their pharamacies are to die for, evrything is so much cheaper, shampoos, face creams, make up even replacement heads for electric toothbrush are half the price we pay in UK, they also sell sandwiches, fresh fruit and juice and milk.
good luck
good luck
well, I got back from Florida yesterday, and found the prices very reeasonable.
breakfast places like Denny's or Sizzler charge $4.99 for all you can eat buffet breakfast - and there's everything you could want available.
lunch, such as burger, pizza etc $10-$15
evening meal in places like Houlihans or a nice Chinese restaurant was around $15-25 inc a drink or two.
tips of 15-20% do add up a bit.
for 2 adults and 2 kids we paid, $25 for brekkie,
around $40 for lunch, and anything from $40-75 for evening meal, plus tips.
have fun, and remember the poryions are big
