The great thing about these type of holidays is that you are in a group of people, so there is always someone to talk to, and you eat togther so plenty of social interaction.
You also get to REALLY see a country by walking around, rather than a boring holiday sitting on the beach.
The are different grades of walking holidays, some are for people who want to just stroll a few miles a day, others are for people who want a 20 mile hike each day.
I think a holiday like this would lift your depression.

Or maybe a holiday where you also volunteer to help a charity out.
For example the National Trust do volunteer holidays where you do some work on a National Turst property.
You can find more here:

There are of course LOADS of organizations which will welcome volunteers, including some that allow you to go abroad.
Helping like this will lift your depression, and will not cost much money.

Yes, a walking holiday or at least a holiday where you're active and there's something you're signed up to do every day. It's surprising how exercise, good healthy meals and good sleep can boost you up making you feel energetic and on top of the world. If you do choose on an exotic holiday where you need to take maleria tablets; tell your doctor you're feeling depressed as some tablets (unfortunately the cheapest) make you feel even worse and anxious.
Hope you have a good break.

I would also invest in a tony robbins CD

i went to Kenya recently. Stayed mainly in Diani Beach, Mombassa but went on Safari also. I cannot say for definate what would help you feel better but I came back feeling wonderful but also thankful for what I have. The people over there have nothing but want for nothing. We saw wonderful things and visited an orphanage taking with us some simple gifts. The stories as to why the children are there are sad but they are all such happy happy people. Since I have come back have done some fundraising for the village and also sent over some things like t shirts now and again and am so happy when I get the updates as to how everyone is doing. Some people might think seeing the poverty is sad but my friends and I felt quite the opposite. Also the lovely beaches and sunshine should hopefully lift your spirits. Good luck
