Where is a great vacation place? I was thinking Somewhere in Ireland. But any other Ideas?

If you're considering Ireland for the scenery it would be well worth having a gander at The Lake District (or 'Little Switzerland', as its often called) - spectacular scenery, friendly locals and only a stone's throw from the cultural hotbed that is Barrow-in-Furness. The New Forest in Hampshire, south of England. There is little forest area left due to Henry VIII cutting it down for his armarda. Beautiful area, historic, nice local pubs, 25 mins from the south coast

Lake District is lovely but if you are going for Easter stay away from the touristy areas like Ambleside, Bowness, Windermere or Keswick as they get very busy. There are plenty of great places in North Lakes where you can go into the Pennines or across to the lakes/mountains of Cumbria.

I would reccommend the Scottish Highlands!! Absolutely stunning in spring. Ireland is nice but Dublin is quite expensive and too commercial nowadays. If you can afford it why not go to Paris? I once got flights for a tenner!!

Don't come to Scotland unless you've checked every long range forecast that you can and that you're sure the weather will be dry. I'm saying dry, remember, not hot! (That only happens occasionally!). The west coast is the most scenic and a good place to start is Oban and then work your way right up the coast to say Ullapool.
