Has anyone been to Laganas in Zante? Im going at the end of August and have no idea what it is like, and i'm worried the weather might not be too good with being there for the beginning of September

I've been to Zante in September and the weather is generally very good. Temps around 25C (high 70s F). Sea at its warmest of the year. Sunny. Laganas, itself is the liveliest resort on the island but is still fairly small. People are friendly. I have an old Greek friend who now helps run a taverna on the island. Have a great time.
i went to the ISland next door in July, it was hot 40! not all the time but we went at the hottest tiem to guareetee sun, it really was hot, my wife likes the sun...be prepared for the odd minor earthquake rumble nothing much to talk about, the locals ignored them as they are quite common.

Is it at all likely to rain at the beginning of September or will it be pretty much bikini weather for 2 weeks?
You'll be unlucky to have any rain, although We did have one huge downpour for about an hour one evening in late September. Had to stay at the Taverna drinking free wine, not a real hardship. Take a lot of suncream.

I have been to Zante and the weather is gorgeous all year round, they tend to shut down at the end of october though as they have similar winters to us. The sun shines all day, you tend to have the odd tiny shower every now and then but nothing to worry about. Its a great place to go that has brilliant weather. Enjoy your hoilday.
