Long haul flights without smoking
61 Answers
We are flying longhaul real soon and it wil be a struggle for my husband not smoking - it was bad enough before 1st July but since no smoking in airport building has come in i really dread the airport/plane part of the holiday. He obviously wont smoke cos he's not allowed to but i know he will be SO grumpy. when you add the check in times + flight times i am almost afraid of the thought (i cant contemplate a delay!!). So my question is how do other smoker tollerate this??

I must add he hasnt smoked in ours or anybodies houses, cars or anywhere enclosed for many years he is very considerate and tries to be discreet.
And Lucy you air your views to the publicans going out of business cos their takings are not adequate for them to survive through the winter months when smokers would rather stay at home - im sure youd be well popular. thanks once again

If you do a bit of research you will see that pubs closing because of the ban is a bit of an urban myth. People are now returning to pubs who would have otherwise stayed away. The nett result is no significant change in pub patronage. If there is any reduction, maybe the publicans should look closer to home for the causes, mainly the extortionate prices they charge.
