we want to go by car either by ferry or tunnel we could take our touring caravan or we could stay in a hotel. Just wondered who has done either/both and can tell us good campsite or hotel(must have parking) to enable us to easily catch public transport into Paris. Any advice appreciated. Thanks so much

I would be very cautious about camping nearer to paris itself as there has been a lot of theft from tents and caravans in the past.
By the time you have got the trains into paris you might have well as stayed in a small hotel near the centre - makes more use of your time there

I can recommend this one:
Camping International is in Maison Lafitte, a busy Paris suburb. It is next to the River Seine and a 10 minute walk form the train station with direct routes into Paris. Plenty of sites for tourers as well. Clean facilities and although the on site shop is small, it is stocked with most of the essentials. The supermarket in the town is better for a bigger shop though as most things on site are double the price. Lots of eateries in town and plenty to see as well
Train fare is 12.50 return to Paris and if you want to visit Disneyland you can also get a train direct to there as well.
