I went to sharm el shaike (however you spell it) about 4 years ago. So long as your polio and Tetanus are up to date you should be ok. Best to check with your GP though incase things have changed over the past couple of years.
there are vaccinations that you are advised to have before entering egypt - i cannot remember what I got off hand but your nurse/gp will advise. You do not have to do this of course, you do not need to confirm you have had them or anything and I know some people would go without them. I feel though best to go with whatever advised.
I went there without any last month; nobody asked if I'd had any and I didn't get bitten by mad dogs. Drink bottled water and stick with fruit you peel and you should be fine.
IKf you intend going diving have the jabs. also, if you intend diving, take a bright yellow dive helmet, the local dive masters might lose you otherwise (not kidding)
