M25 last night

Anyone got any ideas what happened on the M25 last night? It took me about 2 hours to travel 2 miles - it was like a car park between junctions 19 and 18 and closed at 18.

yes, a man dressed in a Batman outfit was doing some kind of overhead protest on a gantry near Heathrow, and the police had to shut off 4 lanes. I think he was a Justice for Fathers person (or whatever they're called). I have sympathy for them, but why inconvenience 1000s of people who are not involved?

I'm sure there's a web link somewhere, but I saw it on the teletext news this morning.

fortunately I was coming off the motorway at the rear end of the queue, at J22.
