International Postage Costs
2 Answers
Hi
My boyfriend has bought golf clubs off ebay. the postage is 11.95. I've just realised they will be coming from Gurnsey.
Does anyone know if there will be an extra charge added onto them to get into the UK?
I bought face creams from the internet once. Not realising they were coming internationally, I paid for them and the delivery charge. Then I got a card through the door form royal mail saying they were at their offices and there was a 20 international charge (or something like that) so my bargain face creams weren't much of a bargain. I'm hoping this doens't happen with the clubs

* Customs duty will not be charged.
* Import VAT is charged if the value of the goods is 22 (18)* and over.
* Many Channel Islands companies are part of a VAT pre-payment scheme. This means you will be asked to pay import VAT if the value of the goods is over 22 (18)* at the time you pay for the goods. In this case you will not have to pay any additional costs when you receive your goods.
So no duty, just VAT unless already paid
