Places to eat in Paris

We are going to Paris in March (Louvre) and was wondering if anyone have any recommendations for any restaurants?

Try the Latin Quarter. I suspect that anywhere near the Louvre will cost a fortune - I paid about 50 francs (�5) for a (lousy) cup of tea near there in 1996...

I was in Paris this week and went to this restaurant

It is not near the Louvre, but about 15 minutes walk from Arc de Triumphe. It is very close to Port Maillot metro station.
It is a very popular place, we had to queue outside for over half an hour on Monday night, but it is worth it.
It is a little weird as they only have one dish - steak. When you get sat down you are asked how you want your steak, medium or well done. You are then brought a salad and when you've eaten that your steak arrives. It is in a sauce and served with french fries. It is really, really nice. Then comes the surprise, when you've eaten your steak the other half of it arrives (they've been keeping it warm!), along with more french fries. There are about a dozen desserts to choose from.
I went here as I had a personal recommendation, and I have no problems recommending it to other people.

if you like souffle then go to www.lesouffle.fr, 36, Rue Mont Thabor - you can eat 3 courses of souffle. Great and very French.

It has been several years since I have been in Paris but everytime I was there, I used to go to the Latin Quarter just across the river from Notre Dame. There is an L shaped alley that has nothing but Greek Resturants and they usually have a prix fix dinner. You get free intertainment with the hawkers at the doors and the breaking of plates, greek style. The food is usually very good. I am sure someone will know where it is and can direct you to the right area. I think it is somewhere around St Germain.
