Without a lot more information on your intentions, your question is one as to how long the proverbial string is. The sort of things that need to be clear is what your intentions are regarding eating, travelling, seeing things that involve expense, etc., etc. If your accommodation includes access to a kitchen then, provided you shop carefully and cook from basic ingredients, one person can live on as little as 2-3 a day (assuming efficiency with little or nothing thrown away and no nonsense like bottled water). There is almost no upper limit to what food might cost if you are eating out, but 15 should cover carefully managed modest daily food costs. A lot depends on where you are (variety of choice) and how careful you are (choices made).
why not just save as much as you can and then you can enjoy yourself and not worry about what your spending
You will always need a bit more than you think.
for 16 days-bring about 400 plus, 2 hundred pounds a week should be more than enough for you to eat and see things, but if your planning to go out alot or eat out alot then bring an extra 100-150. Clubs generally charge about 4.50 per drink, you can eat out cheaply at some good places, generally on local high streets, such as indian chinese ect, or you can shop in supermarket and make ur own food, cheaply. Travel isnt cheap over here, and in London a 1-4 travelcard costs 36.80, but its cheaper outside of london. Just bring as much as you are able and budget. If you go to www.daysoutguide.co.uk it gives you two for one entry on most london attractions and other attractions around england, theatres, theme parks and days out.

There are also loads of fast food outlets where you can get fried chicken n chips for 1.99.

Cinemas are about 8 to get in, but all have a bargain day in the week when the tickets cost as little as 4. Just bring as much as you are able and budget. You can do a thames cruise for 4, and most of our museums and galleries are free. If you go to www.daysoutguide.co.uk it gives you two for one entry on most london attractions and other attractions around england, theatres, theme parks and days out and info on where you can go/what you can do. enjoy your stay. bring an umbrella lol.
