This is a really a long shot. 30 years ago on a camping holiday somewhere outside Swanage (west) I walked along the coast path and stopped at a swimming pool in the rocks. It wasn`t Dancing Ledge (I`ve been there since). Does anyone know of a similar pool in that area. It`s prob
ably part of an old mine works. My only other option is to walk the whole of the coast path and I don`t have the time for that! It`s driving me nuts trying to find it. Thanks

It has an overhanging cliff and can only be reached by a fairly hairy scramble down the cliff or by boat. If this doesn't sound right and we're talking much further west, on the other side of St Aldhelm's Head, then you might mean Chapman's Pool which is much more well known. This again has only foot access, but is a much easier walk. It looks rather like Lulworth Cove, but with a much wider entrance. Hope this helps.
