Can Picafort itself is quiet but if it's nightlife you want then Alcudia is not far away. This is where most youngsters go for fun. Buses go regularly there as well as Porta Pollensa. The town of Can Picafort is really nice to walk in to in the evening, lots of nice bars and restaurants too.
We stayed in San Baulo and it took about 30 mins to walk there. Or you could take the "Express Tain"! Thats an experience.

Weather was perfect, well for me. Depends what you like. When I was there it ranged from 25-27 degrees. And with a nice breeze coming from the sea, it remained rather pleasant.
The express train is a two carriage steam train that goes on the road. (it has wheels underneath) it cost 4 euro for an adult and 3 euros for a child. It's the same man that drives it all the time. Very funny he is. It does a round trip through Can Picafort on to San Baulo and back. The timetable for it was in the hotel, as I'm sure yours will have too. You have to go on it atleast once (We went twice!) it's good fun, the kids will love it.
