(That's the first of 6 pages. Click through the links, at the top of the list to see more destinations).
That list shows easyJet as the only operator ex Liverpool. It also show that both Monarch and British Midland (bmibaby) fly from Manchester:

As Mushroom25 indicates, Ryanair serve Barcelona via bus links from Girona (which is served from both Liverpool and Manchester) and Reus (which is only served from Liverpool). The non-stop buses take just over an hour, from either airport, into Barcelona city centre.

Barcelona's 'proper' airport ('El Prat') is just 19 minutes away, by train, from Barcelona Sants station (in the centre of the city). The fare is 2.80 each way but it would probably make more sense to buy a 'T-Da' ticket, for 5.80, which give a day's unlimited travel on Barcelona's excellent integrated transport system. Alternatively, bus services into the city centre are listed here:

The buses from Girona take 1 hour 15 minutes into the Estacin del Norte bus station, in central Barcelona. I've visited Barcelona (for a day trip!) via this route and (unlike Cath) found the bus journey to be a pleasant experience. 12 single, 21 return. Timetable here:

Buses from Reus take 1 hour 30 minutes to Barcelona Sants station. Also 12 single, 21 return. Timetable here:
