Hi Buenchico -- thats fantastic , many thanks to you for replying.
Sounds brilliant, lovely site.
Weve been camping since 1989, and its great to try out new areas in our 6 berth tent.

That makes good reading, even though I have loads more to read yet. thank you sooooo much x pusskins

whoops bad spelling .

i meant ariel !
LOL!

Unless you're planning on watching a production of Shakespeare's Tempest (in which 'Ariel' appears) I think that you actually meant 'aerial' ;-)

Seend (where the campsite is located) is surrounded by a ring of local (low-powered) repeater transmitters. See the map here:

Each map pin represents a transmitter. You might have to experiment with the alignment of your aerial, to see which provides the best signal. (If there's a clubhouse, with a TV aerial on it, you might get some guidance by simply looking upwards)

Entering the campsite's postcode into the Freeview reception checker shows that all Freeview channels should be obtainable in that area.

If you need a signal booster (and, of course, assuming that you've got a mains hook-up) this one offers quite a high gain figure, for a reasonable price:

so sorry for delay in getting back to you chris ---
had to laugh at my spelling , thanks for correcting it.
(I'm a plonker)

We have our aerial on our car, that works fine, but sometimes we feel that a booster will be even better.

I will look at your link now , and see what "him" indoors thinks. haha.
Thanks so much for info.

again -- apologies for not getting back to you sooner. x
